When ordering your Charger there are a few things you need to know. 1. Be sure to order a charger with the specs of 32 amp charger or pick from the chargers listed on our site.
2. Order a EV Charger that can be hard wired , rather than a plug in only version, or simply pick from the list of chargers we recommend. Note: larger EV chargers over 40 amps need special permission by building departments and may not be able to be installed and may change the cost of the estimate. Please contact us before ordering a larger EV Charger!

No. Electrician may have to turn off a circuit to work in panel but not the entire home.
4-6 hours Level 2, which uses a 240 volt outlet, is also common to many households. These heavier-duty outlets are the same that you would use to plug in your oven or dryer. This means they can be easily installed by an electrician in your garage or wherever you park your EV. The benefits to this are clear, as a Level 2 plug gives you 22-26 miles for every hour charged, compared to a 120 volt Level 1, as you can do this from home with any 3-prong household outlet. Level 1 will give you 4-6 miles of driving range for every hour charged.
Level 2 chargers come in 32, 40, 50, and up to 80 amps. These EV Chargers, which all use a 240 volt electrical circuit are different in speed of charging capabilities. The larger the EVC amperage the faster the car may potentially charge (with some exceptions and limitations). Problem most homes electrical panel is not capable of handling a EVC over 50 amps. Chargers 50 amps and over, almost always require electrical equipment upgrades and are not included in the standard partner pricing.
